Water circulation
Aquatic plants grow better in the wild when they have access to seeping nutrition sources. The plants absorb their food from these sources. The gently warming undergravel heating causes the warm water to rise and the cold water, full of dissolved nutrients and minerals, sinks to the bottom. This creates a thermal water flow, which washes the minerals and trace elements directly to the roots.
Easy to install
When beginning to set up the aquarium, position the heating cable in even-sized loops (in the area where plants are to be planted) on the cleaned bottom pane. Using the slotted suction cups enclosed, fasten the heating cable. Bring the cold leads of the cable out of the aquarium and connect them to the power supply. The black markings on the cable clearly distinguish the cold lead from the heating cable.
Safe to use
The heating cable is silicone-covered and works with an energy-saving power supply with 24 V safety voltage for hazard-free use. The the power supply unit needs to be mounted in a well-ventilated, splash-proof place. The undergravel heating results in a slight warming of the substrate, but definitely needs to be supplemented with a heater thermostat (JBL ProTemp s) for warm water fish. The power supply units heat up during operation - this is normal and due to technical reasons.
Tip:
If you don't want to use the suction cups to fix the undergravel heating cable, you can also glue the heating cable with small "silicone drops" and then remove the suction cups.
